FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wristlets Hand Circumference – 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8)" Length – 6 (6.5, 7, 7.5)" Scarf – 7" x 43"
MATERIALS: FABULOUS FELINES – color 1106 (Katrinka) – 1 ball for Wristlets, and 2 balls for Scarf #10 needles – Straight and double-pointed needles (or size needed to obtain gauge) 1 stitch marker scrap yarn to use as stitch holder
GAUGE: 13 sts and 18 rows over St st = 4"
PATTERN STITCH: Lace Pattern (panel of 14 sts), worked back and forth Row 1 (RS) – K5, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3. Row 2 – P4, yo, p2tog, p2, yo, p2tog, p4. Row 3 – K3, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k5. Row 4 – P6, yo, p2tog, p2, yo, p2tog, p2. Row 5 – K3, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k5. Row 6 – P4, ssp, yo, p2, ssp, yo, p4. Row 7 – K5, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k3. Row 8 – P2, ssp, yo, p2, ssp, yo, p6. Repeat Rows 1 – 8 for pattern.
Lace Pattern (panel of 12 sts), worked in the round Round 1 – K4, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k2. Round 2 – K3, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k3. Round 3 – K2, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k4. Round 4 – K1, k2tog, yo, k2, k2tog, yo, k5. Round 5 – K2, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k4. Round 6 – K3, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k3. Round 7 – K4, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k2. Round 8 – K5, yo, ssk, k2, yo, ssk, k1. Begin Left Wristlet with Round 1 and repeat Rounds 1 – 8 for pattern. For Right Wristlet, begin with Round 5 and work Rounds 5 – 8 before continuing with the Rounds 1 – 8 repeat (see charts).
SPECIAL ABBREVIATION: Ssp (slip, slip purl) – Slip 2 sts, one at a time, knitwise. Return these sts in their new orientation to left needle. Purl them together through the back of the loops.
NOTES: To keep the edges of the scarf neat, the first stitch of every row is slipped purlwise with the yarn in back on right side rows, and in front on wrong side rows. After slipping the first stitch, move the yarn to the correct side of the work to continue in pattern, and tighten the slipped stitch slightly if needed. Two stitches are increased in the center of the thumb gusset each time so that the rib pattern will be maintained. The wristlets are worked in the round, with rounds beginning at the center of the wrist.
SCARF: Using straight needles, cast on 30 sts. Row 1 (WS) – (P1, k1) 4 times, p14, (k1, p1) 4 times. Row 2 – Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in back, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1, k14, (p1, k1) 4 times. Row 3 – Slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front, (k1, p1) 3 times, k1, p14, (k1, p1) 4 times. Continue working the first 8 and last 8 sts as established, and work Lace Pattern worked back and forth over center 14 sts until scarf measures about 42.5" from beginning, end with a Row 4 or 8 of pattern repeat. Repeat Rows 2 and 3. Bind off in established pattern.
FINISHING: Weave in ends. Block to measurements.
WRISTLETS LEFT WRISTLET: Using double-pointed needles, cast on 27 (29, 33, 35) sts. Divide sts as follows: Needle 1, 8 sts; Needle 2, 12 sts, Needle 3, 7 (9, 13, 15) sts. Place marker for beginning of round. Join to work in the round, making sure sts are not twisted. Round 1 – (K1, p1) 4 times, k12, (p1, k1) to last st, p1. Repeat Round 1 once more. Next round – (K1, p1) 4 times, work Lace Pattern worked in the round over next 12 sts, (p1, k1) to last st, p1. Continue even until piece measures about 2". Place gusset marker 4 sts from beginning of round.
THUMB GUSSET: Next rnd – work to marker, lift horizontal strand between last st on right needle and next st on left needle and knit into the back, then front of the strand, placing gusset marker between the 2 new sts, then work to end – 29 (31, 35, 37) sts. Working new sts into rib as established, work even for .75 (1, 1, 1.25)". Next round – work to marker, lift horizontal strand between last st on right needle and next st on left needle and knit into the back, then front of the strand, placing gusset marker between the 2 new sts, then work to end – 31 (33, 37, 39) sts. Work even for 1.25 (1.5, 1.5, 1.75)".
THUMB OPENING: Work 3 sts, place next 8 sts on scrap yarn for thumb opening, cast on 4 sts over opening, work to end – 27 (29, 33, 35) sts. Working new sts in k1, p1 rib, work even until piece measures about 5.75 (6.25, 6.75, 7.25)" from beginning, ending with a Round 4 or 8 of repeat. Repeat Round 1. Bind off, working sts on Needles 1 and 3 in rib and sts on Needle 2 in St st.
THUMB: Carefully remove scrap yarn and place sts on hold onto double pointed needles, and pick up and knit 1 st in edge of opening, knit sts from needles, pick up and knit 1 st at edge of opening, then pick up and knit 4 sts along cast on edge above thumb opening – 14 sts. Place marker for beginning of round. Join to work in the round. Round 1 – (K1, p1) to end. Bind off in pattern.
RIGHT WRISTLET: Using double-pointed needles, cast on 27 (29, 33, 35) sts. Divide sts as follows: Needle 1, 7 (9, 13, 15) sts; Needle 2, 12 sts, Needle 3, 8 sts. Place marker for beginning of round. Join to work in the round, making sure sts are not twisted. Round 1 – (P1, k1) 3 (4, 6, 7) times, p1, k12, (p1, k1) to end. Repeat Round 1 once more. Next round – (P1, k1) 3 (4, 6, 7) times, p1, work Lace Pattern worked in the round over next 12 sts, (p1, k1) to end. Continue even until piece measures about 2". Place gusset marker 4 sts from end of round.

THUMB: Work same as for Left Wristlet.
