Seams Match up one side edge with front edges making sure they are even and starting from the bottom with crochet hook slip stitch the front and side together working through both front panels at the same time. To slip stitch: with RS facing, insert hook through first st in first row of side panel and draw up a loop, insert hook in same st of both front panels and draw st through front and through st on needle. Return to first st in third row of side and draw loop through side and st on needle—repeat for front. Continue in this manner until seam is completed. Repeat for other three corners. If you prefer the seams may be sewn together although they may not be as strong. The choice is yours. Measure 31-1/2 inches of nylon webbing and cut. Overlap ¼ inch on ends and sew together forming a circle. Evenly place webbing inside the hem, fold it over, and sew hem in place with yarn ends left from the bind offs. Catch webbing at each seam while sewing. Work in ends. Finish seams of lining, fit inside, and sew to hem seam.

Row 7—Yo, k1, (knit in back of second stitch then knit first) across to end. Knit 3 rows. Bind off leaving long end for sewing. With #1 and very fine yarn cast on 25-30 sts. Work Garter st for one inch, cut yarn leaving 24” end, set aside. Yarn hanks Make 2 Spread your fingers as far apart as you can and wrap yarn around the tips about 15 times, cut yarn leaving a long end. Put a finger in each end of loop and twist several times, let the yarn twist up and tuck one end inside the other creating a small hank leaving long ends for sewing.
Knitting needles Make 2 Leaving about a four inch end, take crochet hook, chain 12, and leaving a long end for sewing cut yarn and end off. Repeat for other needle but chain 20 sts.
Finishing Take longer knitting needle, thread tapestry needle with one end, and slide about 2/3 of stitches from #1 needle evenly onto crocheted chain. Carefully slip remaining stitches off needle. Center entire piece above lettering on bag and sew crocheted needle with stitches to the top center. Thread the other yarn end of crocheted needle through a bead and sew it in place. Using very fine yarn carefully sew knitted piece in place catching loose sts in the process. Let the rest of the yarn fall loosely from top to bottom of bag and attach by drawing through only one ply of yarn and through back of letters to hold in place.
Sew bottom and sides of basket in place. Insert hanks, one at a time, into top of basket and sew in place. String bead to other crocheted needle and sew it in place sticking out of basket.
Use the rest of the basket yarn to sew across top under Garter stitch row securing the hanks and needle, and basket in place. Take the two longest ends of fine yarn and create a pile at bottom of bag. Sew them in place with the last end catching all loops securely until all length is gone.
Excluding the points, fold shorter straps without buttonholes in half, slide ring on, and sew to bag with yarn through all layers to connect them together. Sew point to front layer alone.
Fold buttonhole straps with 2/3 of strap and point showing on front, making sure that buttonhole lands in center of pocket hem and they are in line with the straps on the back. Slide ring on and sew front and back together to 2 rows below hem. Leave remaining tab loose for button closure.
Sew 2 larger buttons to center of pocket hem lining them up with buttonholes.
Sew a small button on each pocket in line with buttonhole but leaving loose enough so as not to stress the knitted pattern. These closures are only to keep loose items from falling out of pockets.
Take long straps, run through rings, fold end over about 1-1/2 inches and sew folded part to main strap. Connect other ends in the same manner. Key holder With MC and #2 needles cast on 45 sts. Bind off 45 sts. Bring strip through snap hook’s ring, fold in half, and sew both ends to any seam below hem line.
